Louisa & Lyndon live in California but have strong connections to the UK and picked the stunning Loseley Park in Surrey deep in the English countryside for their luxury wedding. With all this beautiful weather we’re having at the moment it’s made me think about venues in London which have outdoor space. Many couples look to get married in London but fear this means being inside all day. This doesn’t have to be the case, London has many hidden gems all of which can be […]

With chair covers being a thing of the past and so many different styles of chairs being available you may want to think about what you are going to use on your tables to stand out amongst your chairs.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money doing this but you can really transform your venue by adding fabric touches – from tablecloths, to table runners, to napkins, there is something available for everyone in a selection of materials and colours. When it comes to planning & styling wedding we love to show all of our couples their options to transform their reception spaces into something beautiful.
The tablecloth is a great decorative accessory to unify the components of the table setting and to make a statement through the use of colour and fabrics. If you’re dining in a large room it’s also a great way to create warmth and cosiness and good for taking that echo away. When deciding on your wedding tablecloths there are lots of options – you can keep it natural by going for a beige or grey coloured linen & bring in some really striking flowers or go for a patterned linen to create boldness.
Here at a Something Blue Wedding we used (colour table cloth) to go with our Bride & Grooms brief.
As far as table runners go, think of them as a tool to visually anchor your table and bring your other table linens such as napkins and the centrepiece together for a cohesive look. They add that little bit of softness to your table against your table base.
For those who are sticking to a wooden farmhouse table and are not wanting a tablecloth or a runner then fabric napkins still provide a touch of elegance and can be styled in many different ways for that luxury look.
You can also tie other fabrics into your tables with the use of ribbon and even stationery. There are many little touches you can add to turn your wedding dining into something magnificent and eye-catching.
