Wedding Decor Trends for 2019

As autumn sets in I’m turning my attention to the year ahead. With a new year comes an abundance of new wedding décor trends, but with luxury weddings in mind, what are the leading trends that may influence and shape your big day in 2019? Read on to discover my favourite wedding décor trends for 2019…

All Natural

Rustic, whimsical and fresh, there will be a huge focus on the element of nature for wedding décor. The idea is to bring the outside in, introducing lots of greenery and natural materials. This trend will also influence the colour trends for the year, with sage, forest green, emerald and soft neutrals such as champagne influencing the colour palettes.

Arches and Hanging Florals

Florals took centre stage at weddings in 2018. For 2019 there is even more focus on wedding flowers, which can completely transform your venue and provide a great way to create a strong scheme that reflects who you are as a couple. Both floral arches and hanging floral arrangements will be popular in 2019, and they present a great way to add that luxury feel.

In addition, dahlias are going to be having a bit of a moment. The quintessential focal flower works perfectly in any bridal arrangement because of their wide colour variety and intricate layers.

Creative Wedding Stationary

For some time now, wedding stationary has seen a lean towards a DIY style, with calligraphy, water colours and pretty painted designs being favoured over prim and polished styles. This is being taken up a notch for 2019, with there being even more focus on rustic and simple wedding invitations, menus and name places.

Metallic Details

Copper and bronze are set to be the leading metals for wedding décor and provide the perfect way to add a luxury feel and warm tones. Both metals compliment otherwise simple schemes led by natural elements and lots of greenery. The warm metals will lift your scheme and add that all important luxurious touch.

2019 is set to be an amazing year for wedding décor. I’m here to help you create your dream wedding day, from arranging the finer details to pull your scheme together, to helping you finalise and strengthen your ideas to create a cohesive and beautiful wedding décor scheme in 2019.
