It is becoming more and more popular to have an event the day after the wedding. It’s the perfect way to thank guests for coming and extends the celebration allowing guests the chance to mingle in a more relaxed environment, reflect on the wedding day and say their farewells. Below are a few things to consider when planning your post wedding celebration.

TIMING

Think about the timing wisely, a lot of your guests will have been up late the night before celebrating with you, so the last thing they need is a 9am event to attend!

LOCATION

If you are having the event at an alternative venue to the wedding, think about its proximity to the location where the majority of your guests will be staying. Something close by is perfect and will make it easy for your guests.

FOOD

A more relaxed food offering is favoured post wedding, think authentic wood-fired pizzas, mobile cocktail bars whipping up Bloody Marys to soothe the sore heads, grazing tables abundant with charcuterie or even a traditional hog roast with all the trimmings.

RELAX

It’s the time for you to really relax, the wedding day is over and now you can spend time with the people you didn’t get to see enough on the wedding day. You will be feeling so elated and happy, so spend the day really enjoying yourself and celebrating.
